FAQs

Where is the Ceremony and Reception?

Our wedding ceremony and reception will take place at the beautiful Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia on its 5th floor. We look forward to celebrating with you!

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

We kindly ask you to arrive 15 to 30 minutes early for the ceremony. This will allow ample time to find your seat, get settled, and sip a refreshment before the proceedings begin.

Is there Parking at the Venue?

We highly recommend taking Ubers/Lyfts as they are readily available in the city. For guests driving, valet parking is available at $45. There is also a parking lot across the street for easy parking.

What should I wear? What is the Dress Code?

The dress code for our wedding is black tie. Additionally, we encourage formal Chinese and Filipino cultural attire. For gentlemen, we suggest a tuxedo or barong; for ladies, a floor-length gown or qipao.

What weather should I expect?

The weather is always variable, so please make sure to check the forecast before packing. Although our wedding will primarily be indoors, we recommend dressing in layers to stay comfortable throughout the day and into the night.

How do I know if I can bring a plus-one or children?

All plus-ones will be specified on your invitation. Although we love children, our wedding will be a child-free event. We've thoughtfully planned our guest list, so we kindly ask that you RSVP only for those listed on the invitation.

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions?

Yes, please include any dietary restrictions or allergies in your RSVP, and we will gladly accommodate.

Airport

For those flying in, Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is the closest.

Date to Fly: We highly recommend arriving at least a day before the wedding to account for any unexpected delays.

How to Get Around Once You Arrive: There are plenty of convenient Ubers and Lyfts at the airport; there’s also a SEPTA train, AIR Airport Line, that directly connects the airport to Suburban Station, where you can be dropped off in the heart of Center City. You can tap on and tap off with a contactless card or smartphone.

Wedding Party

Sharon Yuen

Maid of Honor

Sharon and I met in the women’s restroom at Mexico City International Airport. She asked me, a complete stranger, to watch her suitcase because she wasn’t able to take it into the cramped stall with her. We found out we were on our way to the same volunteer trip in Peru. We became instant friends and spent every day of that week in Peru together. She was my rock throughout college. I always felt I can be myself around her. I admire her big heart, determined spirit, and unwavering character.

Jake Billow

Man of Honor

Jake and I went to middle and high school together, and later became close friends during college. Despite the fact that we haven’t even lived on the same side of the country since high school, he remains a close and reliable friend. He reminds me that silliness and creativity are important things to maintain in everyday life.

Jackie Yu

Bridesmaid

I got to know Jackie through our sorority. We were roommates at UCLA, then for a second time in Philly when she moved here for school! I’m so lucky my California girl is now an East Coast queen. We get to look forward to many more years of fun together!

Winnie Chang

Bridesmaid

I met Winnie on our first day of class in our Master of Social Work program, and we became good friends right away! Joco and I spend a lot of time with Winnie and her husband, Rob (in the picture). They bring a lot of color, food, music, sports, and humor into our lives!

Hina Iwata

Bridesmaid

Hina and I initially became friends over our shared love for the K-Pop group, BTS. Even though she’s based far away in Tokyo, we always pick up where we left off, like no time passed. Joco was able to finally meet her during our trip to Japan last December! I think our friendship undoubtedly proves that, when you find a true friend, distance is just a number!

Luis Ongtawco

Best Man

Luis is my childhood best friend. We visited each other’s homes countless times, played music and video games together. I think he is one of the most musically talented people I know, and one of the most caring.

Dr. Samantha Brookens, DC

Best Woman

Sami is a good friend I met through chiropractic school. She encourages me to be adventurous and step out of my comfort zone. We spent a lot of time studying and laughing together. Her cat scratched me one time, gave me an infection, and that’s why I had to get one of my toes amputated. (Just kidding. Sami pulls a lot of harmless pranks and we wanted to pull her leg on here)

Anton Fermin

Groomsman

Anton is my younger brother. We share a lot of interests, especially drumming. Between the two of us, I think he’s the smarter one. I’m confident he’ll be successful in his future. He’s the best brother I could ask for.

Dr. Joseph Yim, DC

Groomsman

I met Joe in chiropractic school. Joe is definitely the kind of guy that I can spend quality time with, watching sports, playing golf, or going thrifting together, and he’s always fun to be with.

Dr. Cameron Fannon, DC

Groomsman

Cam is one of the best friends made in chiropractic school. Lilly and I went on a lot of double dates with Cam and his wife, Hope (in the picture), when we were in Florida. We have a lot of memories going to the beach and getting brunch. Cam is a selfless guy that I can always depend on.
